A National Housing Crisis: Understanding How Client Sex Offender Status Impacts Provision of Services

April 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Please join CARES for a very important Partners in Progress Workshop on understanding how client sex offender status impacts provision of services.

Across the U.S., communities are struggling to comply with applicable regulations to house persons with a sex offender status while simultaneously battling fear and stigma. Some of this struggle can be alleviated by gaining a better understanding of the levels of sex offender statuses, regulations pertaining to sex offenders, and how to follow the Housing First model while housing sex offenders. Participants will hear about benefits available to those with a sex offender status, and the differences between sex offender status levels as it relates to housing regulations.

Finally, CARES will review agencies’ roles in maintaining a Housing First community while serving those who have a sex offender status.

This Partners in Progress Workshop is intended for all levels of staffing.

Parking is available in the lot off of Third Street. Light refreshments will be provided.
