Before being assigned a username and password to the AWARDS CRHMIS database you must watch this video, complete the HMIS New User Quiz, and submit the following to the CARES HMIS team: Written permission from your supervisor indicating which programs you should have access to in AWARDS, a screen shot of your quiz results, and a signed copy of the 2017 User Agreement which can be found on our HMIS User Resources Page.

Training Schedules and Registration
CARES offers regular training for the AWARDS Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) software. This training also encompasses policy and regulations required to complete the intake, discharge, and file management duties of the HMIS program.
All users are required to attend the HMIS Beginner’s Training prior to being granted access to the system. Beginner, intermediate, and ongoing user-group training is available at least once monthly on-line and also in person at our Albany office. In order to participate, all trainees must register by 5pm the evening before training.
