The Capital Region Coalition to End Homelessness is pleased to announce an upcoming presentation and training on the intersections of racism and homelessness. Marc Dones from the Center for Social Innovation will lead a training and luncheon presentation on racial inequity in homelessness. The presentation will include epidemiological research into racial inequity in homelessness including the structural causes, public health significance, and minority stress. The training will be interactive and focus on the history of racial inequity and racism, racism across multiple sectors, and specific actions providers and agencies can take to build racially sensitive solutions. This presentation and training will take place Monday January 8th from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy and costs $25 per person. Continental breakfast and catered lunch to be provided.
